What both tools do.
ChatAutoDM and Waveloop do the same core job on Instagram. Someone comments a keyword, replies to your story or DMs you a word, and they get a DM back with your link. Both run on Instagram's official API, and both need a professional Instagram account.
ChatAutoDM is built only for Instagram, like Waveloop. Its pricing page lists comment to DM, story reply and DM auto-responder flows on every plan. It also lists a visual flow builder and images with link buttons on every plan.
Where ChatAutoDM is stronger.
The free plan is bigger. ChatAutoDM Free lists unlimited automation flows and 1,000 contacts a month. Waveloop Hobby gives you 3 automations and 50 new contacts a month, with unlimited DMs.
ChatAutoDM also lists more AI on its paid plans: AI answers to common questions, AI comment replies and auto-responding DMs. If you want to build branching conversations on a canvas, it has a flow builder. Waveloop does not. You pick a post, a story or a keyword, write the DM and switch it on.
How the prices compare.
ChatAutoDM lists Pro at ₹499 a month and Elite at ₹1,299 a month, with lower prices on quarterly and yearly billing. Both list unlimited contacts. Their pricing page also says billing has not started yet, and that final limits will be published before it does.
Waveloop's plans are live today. Hobby is free with no card: 3 automations, 50 new contacts a month and unlimited DMs. Creator costs $15 a month or $150 a year, or ₹1,499 a month plus GST in India. FAQ
Waveloop and ChatAutoDM, answered.
Is Waveloop a good ChatAutoDM alternative?
Yes, if you want comment, story and DM keyword automations on Instagram with prices and limits that are set today. Hobby is free with 3 automations and 50 new contacts a month, and Creator is $15 a month with unlimited contacts.
Is Waveloop cheaper than ChatAutoDM?
Not on list price. ChatAutoDM lists Pro at ₹499 a month, while Waveloop Creator is ₹1,499 a month plus GST in India, or $15 a month elsewhere. ChatAutoDM's pricing page also says its billing has not started yet.
Can I move my ChatAutoDM automations to Waveloop?
There is no direct import from ChatAutoDM. You recreate each comment to DM automation by picking a post, a keyword and your DM, or you import several at once from a CSV file, within your plan's automation limit.
Can I use ChatAutoDM and Waveloop at the same time?
Yes, on different posts. If both tools answer the same keyword on the same post, people can get two DMs, so turn ChatAutoDM off on that post first.
Does Waveloop have a visual flow builder like ChatAutoDM?
No. In Waveloop you pick a trigger, write the DM and switch it on. On Creator you can add follow to unlock and email collection to the same DM.
Do I need a card to try Waveloop?
No. Hobby is a free plan with no card. Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial that takes a card, and the first payment is taken on day 7.
