Pick a post, add a keyword, write your DM, then switch it to Live. From then on, everyone who comments your keyword gets your DM. Connect your Instagram first, so Waveloop can see your posts.
Build it
- Go to Automations and click New Automation.
- Choose Comment on a post or reel.
- In Choose Post or Reel, pick the post you want to use.
- In Setup Keywords, type a keyword like GUIDE and press Enter. Add more if you like.
- In Setup Message, write your DM. Add a button title and the link people should get.
- Switch the automation to Live at the top.
Your changes save as you go.
Good to know
- Keywords aren't case sensitive. "guide", "Guide" and "GUIDE" all match.
- The comment only needs to include the keyword. "Send me the guide" matches GUIDE.
- Want a public reply under the comment too? Open Public Comment Replies in the builder.
- On Hobby, each automation runs on one post or reel, and you can have 3 automations. Creator adds Any post or reel and Next post or reel.
- You can also start an automation from a keyword someone DMs you, or from a reply to your story.
Put your link in the button, not in the message text. Then tell people what to comment in your caption, like "Comment GUIDE for the recipe."
