Waveloop sends each DM as soon as Instagram tells it about a new comment, story reply or DM. You don't need to be online, and nothing waits for your approval.
How it works
- Someone comments your keyword.
- Instagram notifies Waveloop about the comment.
- Waveloop checks the keyword and sends your DM right away.
Instagram controls step 2. Its notifications usually arrive quickly, but Instagram doesn't promise a time, so we don't either.
If Instagram turns a message away because it's busy, Waveloop tries again later.
If a DM doesn't arrive
Check these first:
- The automation is a Draft. Switch it to Live at the top of the builder.
- The comment doesn't include your keyword. Check the spelling.
- The comment is more than 7 days old. Instagram only allows a private reply to a comment within 7 days.
- Instagram didn't pass the comment on. Comments Instagram hides, for example through your Hidden Words settings, may not reach Waveloop.
- You're on Hobby and hit 50 new contacts this month. New people get DMs again next month, or straight away if you upgrade.
- Your Instagram login ended. See My automations stopped or say "Reconnect".
To test an automation, ask a friend to comment your keyword on the post, the same way your followers will.
