Yes. When you connect, Instagram shows you what Waveloop is asking for, and you approve it on Instagram's own page. Waveloop uses that access to run your automations.
What Waveloop can do
- Read your profile, like your username and profile picture.
- See your posts and reels, so you can pick one for an automation.
- Read comments on your posts and reels, so it can spot your keywords.
- Send DMs for you, and post the public comment replies you set up.
What it uses that for
Matching keywords, sending your DMs, posting your public replies, saving people who comment your keyword as contacts, and showing your stats.
What it doesn't do
- It never sees your password.
- It doesn't post to your feed or stories.
- It doesn't message people who haven't contacted you first.
You can take it back anytime
- In Waveloop: open Connections and click Disconnect Instagram. Your automations stop.
- In Instagram: remove Waveloop in your settings, where Instagram lists the apps and websites connected to your account.
Waveloop is an Official Meta Business Partner and an Official Meta Tech Provider, and it connects through Instagram's official API.
