It can, while link tracking is on. A tracked link passes through a short Waveloop page before your real link opens, and some affiliate deep links, like Amazon links, can break on the way. Switch tracking off and Waveloop sends your link exactly as you pasted it.
Send the raw link
- Open the comment automation that carries the affiliate link.
- Under Optional, find Track link clicks.
- Switch it off.
The button now opens your raw URL directly, with your affiliate tag untouched. The setting applies to that automation only. Your other automations keep tracking.
What you give up
Taps on that button aren't counted anymore, so they won't appear in your click-through rate on Home.
DM keyword and story reply automations
The Track link clicks switch is only on comment automations. DM keyword and story reply automations always use the tracked link. If you want to share an affiliate link, use a comment automation, or test the link carefully first.
Test it before you post
- Comment your keyword from a second Instagram account.
- Tap the button in the DM you receive.
- Check that the right product page opens, with your affiliate tag in the address.
Paste the full affiliate link into the Button URL field, exactly as your affiliate program gives it to you.
