No. You connect Waveloop with Instagram Login, Instagram's own sign-in screen. You type your password into Instagram, never into Waveloop, so we never see it.
What happens when you connect
- In your Waveloop dashboard, you choose to connect Instagram.
- Instagram opens its own login screen and shows what Waveloop is asking for.
- You approve, and Instagram sends you back to Waveloop, connected.
Waveloop asks for three permissions: your basic profile, managing your messages and managing your comments. That's what it needs to see comments and send DMs for you.
If you change your password
Changing your Instagram password, or logging out of all sessions, can end Waveloop's access. Your automations stop until you reconnect. Reconnecting takes the same few taps as connecting. See what to do when automations say reconnect.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect your Instagram from Connections in your dashboard at any time.
Waveloop needs an Instagram professional account, Business or Creator. Switching is free in your Instagram settings, and you can do it before you connect.
